James Leigh Hamilton became head coach Andy Robinson’s second signing when he joined Edinburgh from Leicester Tigers during the summer of 2008.

The powerful lock, no relation to namesake and fellow lock Craig, is a seasoned performer with a wealth of top-class experience following his time at Welford Road.

An outstanding competitor, Hamilton has been an ever present in the side since making his Edinburgh debut off the bench against Scarlets in September 2008
